That went well...

I think.

They'll call me next week to let me know if they want a second interview.

Did I mention that I had an interview today? 'Cause I did. They're looking for a permanent person but really, what is permanent these days? We can't all stay somewhere for twenty years.

I forgot (again) to put together and print out a reference sheet. You know, something that lists names and contact information for references and addresses and things of places you've worked. I always feel kind of dumb when I go to fill that stuff out and I can't remember anything.

Took a personality test thing and apparently filled out more questions than usual. I think he missed the one on the other page that I did.

So if the data entry job comes through for next week and then they call me back and I get that job, I'm completely golden. I get my weekends back and a steady paycheck that will mean being able to travel in the fall.

We have agreed that if there is a benefit concert, we are SO going to be there. And if it happens to be in New York (crosses fingers) then we are SO going up early so I can go back to the Strand bookstore. And if any of you biblophiles out there on my list haven't been there...I'm sorry. The place is book heaven! I love it and have been trying to get back for two years. So yes, any sort of *nsync-related adventures up there and we're on it. Straight shot up 95 so we'd even drive it again. Although Sister points out that we can get really good deals on non-stop flights to Orlando from here as well...


To get back to the interview...I think I know just enough about SQL and MS Office and programming to SOUND like I know what I'm doing but not enough to prove I know it. They seem to want someone with an accounting background and I have a hard time explaining that I'm familiar with accounting and payments and invoices, it's the software I might not know. I'm going to stay positive and hope that the fact that this interview was with the CEO of the company means good things. And if not, there's always the newspaper website again.


I want to catch up on all the CFTC stuff but I'm getting most of it filtered through Sister right now. Did anyone get to talk to Bev? Any news on what her little monster is up to on his own? Did anyone see Joe, Sr.? Was Joey's kid there and did they let her have a little Daze jersey of her own again? These are the things I wonder.

I also wonder when I'll hear about this potential temp gig...if it happens then I would work Friday and Sunday this week which would actually kind of suck dirt. And also, it would mean that I wouldn't have a job the week after next, unless someone offered something in the middle of the week. *sigh* The joys of temping are without number.
